Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 May 2026

Calorie Fit ("we", "us", or "our") operates calorie-fit.com. This page explains what information is collected when you use our site, why we collect it, and how it is handled. We have written this policy to be clear and direct — no legalese.

By using Calorie Fit you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

1. What We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

All calculator inputs — height, weight, age, activity level — are processed entirely in your browser. We never transmit or store your health data on any server. The moment you close or navigate away from a calculator page, that data is gone.

1.2 Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 automatically collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website or search query that brought you here
  • Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
  • Approximate geographic location (country / city level — not precise)
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)

This data is collected using cookies and sent to Google's servers. It is aggregated and anonymised — we cannot identify individual users from it. Google's data processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

We do not enable Google Signals, cross-site tracking, or any advertising features in our GA4 configuration.

1.3 Article view counts (counterapi.dev)

Each blog article increments a view counter via counterapi.dev when you open it. This is a simple HTTP request that logs a count against the article slug. No personal data, IP address, or session identifier is stored by us or shared with counterapi.dev beyond what is technically necessary to process the request.

2. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

Cookie Source Purpose Duration
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes unique users 2 years
_ga_* Google Analytics Maintains session state 2 years

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any cookies set by social media platforms. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect your ability to use any feature of the site — all calculators work without cookies.

3. How We Use Data

We use the analytics data collected to:

  • Understand which tools and articles are most useful
  • Identify and fix technical issues
  • Improve site performance and content quality
  • Make decisions about what new content to publish

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

4. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services are embedded in the site:

Google Analytics 4

counterapi.dev

Anonymous article view counting. No personal data stored. counterapi.dev

Tailwind CSS CDN

5. Medical Disclaimer

The calculators and articles on Calorie Fit are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. BMI, body fat percentage, calorie estimates, and other metrics are approximations based on population-level formulas — individual results will vary.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise routine, or supplementation based on information from this site.

6. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information directly, there is no personal profile of you held on our servers to access, correct, or delete. For data held by Google Analytics, you can:

  • Opt out of GA tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
  • Block all analytics cookies via your browser's privacy settings
  • Use a browser extension such as uBlock Origin to block analytics scripts entirely

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and the right to object to processing. Since we do not hold identifiable personal data, most of these rights apply to data held by Google rather than us directly. Contact Google's Data Protection Officer for those requests.

7. Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default in our GA4 configuration, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. We do not archive GA data externally. Article view counts held by counterapi.dev are aggregated totals with no timestamp or session data attached.

8. Children's Privacy

Calorie Fit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
