Editorial Policy

Last updated: October 2026

How we decide what to publish, how we check it, and how we handle mistakes.

Choosing topics

We cover training, nutrition, recovery and body composition topics that readers are actively searching for and where reliable evidence exists. We avoid miracle-cure claims and topics we cannot support with credible sources.

Research and sources

We prioritise peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and guidance from recognised health bodies. Specific statistics, thresholds, study names, authors, journals and years must be traced to a primary or credible secondary source. Where we cannot verify a figure, we describe the finding in general terms instead of quoting a number. Articles list their sources at the end.

Use of AI

Articles are drafted with AI assistance (Anthropic's Claude). AI is a drafting tool, not an authority: every article passes an automated fact-check against live web sources and a structural quality check before it is published. Hero images are AI-generated illustrations (Google's Gemini) and are never presented as real photographs of real people or products.

Health content

Our articles are educational and written for the general adult population. They are not individualised medical advice. See the Medical Disclaimer.

Corrections and updates

When an error is found it is corrected promptly and the article's last-updated date is changed. Spotted something wrong? Tell us. We update articles when significant new evidence appears.

Independence and advertising

Our editorial decisions are independent. If we add advertising or affiliate links in future, they will be clearly marked and will never influence what an article says.
